If you want more than 2″ of drop you will need to combine the coilovers with a lowering spindle and\/or drop LCA or use the weld-on upper mount option. For trucks lifted up to 4″ the stock LCA will work fine. I can help you with this, I just need you to measure from the center of the wheel straight up to the bottom of the fender with the truck on the ground as it currently sits.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have lower brackets for stock and DJM\/IHC lower control arms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRide Height Options: \u003c\/strong\u003eFor the stock height to 3″ lift options the stock control arm and spindle will be fine. This range uses the typical coilover with upper and lower eyelet mounts and the bolt on brackets. For the 1-2″ drop option for a daily driver this will be a hybrid kit using a tapered coil spring that fits in the top of the spring pocket like the stock spring but attaches to the bottom of the coilover like a typical coilover. For 3″ of drop and greater you will have to either do the weld-on upper mount, or combine a standard bolt-on kit with a drop control arm, drop spindle, or both. For any dedicated racing application (as per the usage option) I recommend the weld-on brackets regardless of ride height. I can help figure out which combination of parts will work the best for you based on your intended usage and what parts you may already have.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNew Upper Weld-on Bracket Option:\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eThese are weld-on upper coilover mounts to replace the stock shock perch on both 2wd and 4wd 99-06 GMT800 1500 trucks. You could call these “long-travel” brackets but I personally don’t like that term as it can be misleading. These require the removal of the factory mounts and need to be welded to the frame. They are laser cut 1\/4″ thick steel on the base plate and shock tabs and 3\/8″ thick steel for the mounting struts. This utilizes 2 parallel mounting braces instead of a single center one for maximum strength and stability. The mounting angle is offset to insure the shock is aligned with the lower mount to prevent any shock binding during travel. Completely designed in SolidWorks. You will need a suitable welder and fabrication skills (or access to someone who does) to install these (should be welded all the way around the perimeter and top). These are meant for the more serious guy who needs more flexibility with their setup than the normal bolt-on style kits (available elsewhere on my site). Two different shock versions will come with these kits, but the only difference is in the included bearing width. The bearings from the “-W” shock are 1.25″ wide and will be used on the top of both shocks.
